Q. How do I store Epicuren?
A. Keep Epicuren in the refrigerator once it has been
opened. However, it is OK to keep small sizes by your
sink for convenience. The effectiveness of the product
will be diminished by higher temperatures.
Q. Starting out... What to expect?
A. You may feel a bit dry in the beginning. This means that the Epicuren
is working. Your cells are becoming more active and absorbing moisture
and nutrients faster than they did before. Your skin will balance out, and
you should use an extra hydrator if you feel uncomfortable ( Rose Treat,
or Facial Emulsion all work well.)
It is not unusual for some people to see small bumps (similar to small
pimples) in the beginning. Continue to use Epicuren, and as the body
becomes accustomed to the enzyme-protein vitamin complex, the
"bumps" will go away in a couple of days.
Occasionally, people break out slightly from the Scrub. If you have
broken out from scrubs in the past it does not mean that you will break
out from Epicuren. If it appears that you are breaking out from the
Scrub, you may eliminate it, but first try one of our more mild scrubs.
The Scrub, however, is very important in preparing the skin to receive
the other steps, so use it if at all possible. If you mix the Scrub with an
Epicuren Cleanser, this will lubricate the Scrub so it performs more
smoothly.
Most people will feel the activity of Epicuren on the face. It may be a slight tingling sensation,
or a feeling of warmth. It is usually not at all uncomfortable. If this is disturbing to you, try
eliminating the gel and then add it again a few weeks later. Also, try using the Six-Step
(Travel/Mid Size Kit) procedure by adding one enzyme step per week.
